Ladies over 40, don’t have time for a bad hair day? I got you! A regimen is a must!!

You’re going to want to get on a great hair schedule with your stylist! Our hair changes after 40, it gets delicate, finer and needs a little extra moisture and love. You don’t necessarily need to get a full service an in between treatment, glaze or haircut can do wonders!

A great sulfate free shampoo that adds plumpness and shine is a must!

Day 1- give yourself a great blowout with a volumizer ( body builder by @kevin.murphy is my go to) and a great heat protector! Spray with a little dry texture spray and your set!
In the evening scrub a little dry shampoo on your scalp
Day 2 - Add some waves, let them cool, spray a little texture spray, brush or finger pull them apart and you’re good to go!
Again, scrub a little dry shampoo ( just like your shampooing your hair get your nails in and really scrub)
Day 3- pin your hair had up or grab a clip or binder and do a cute ponytail or top knot bun, pull a few pieces around your face, spray if you must and your good to go!

Now you can rinse and repeat! That is how you get 3 days out of each wash! What are your biggest hair struggles?👇⬇️

2026 is the New 2016… I didn’t get this trend at 1st, however it inspired me to dig back to photos to that time and that was a gift! Memories of the kids being little and our time being consumed with raising two boys full of hockey and baseball schedules. The friends we made, the memories of my grandmother and others I love so dearly who are no longer here. I was a runner than, and did races with my dad and sister, I cherish that time and those memories! I worked at the cutest salon with some of the most amazing inspiring woman I have ever know. Definitely a simpler time, would I go back … NO WAY!!!!!!

I am 💯 in the mindset the best is yet to come! All the pain, loss, disappointment, heartbreak, and life lessons have been such a gift to who I have become! It has grown so much grit, perseverance, and inner strength, God has completely transformed my life and my relationships into a place where I have a peace that makes no sense! A deep love for all people, I could never explain! I have the Joy that can only come from God and I look forward to every day he has gifted me to continue becoming a better, more healed, loving person than I was the day before! So No, i would never give that up for a simpler time ( that I truly cherished when I was in it!)

In a funk? Now is the perfect time to invest on working on yourself! I don’t know about you but I’d like to see the world be a better place for my kids and grandkids! We need to stop waiting for someone else to make our lives better and do the work! Pick a few areas of your life you would like to make better and take consistent daily action to make it better! I did 75 hard last summer and am in Phase 1, if your New to personal development or need a very effective jump start to self discipline, I highly recommend it!!

Are you in a funk, have the after holiday winter blues? Let me tell you a project I’m working on, it AMAZING, it’s me!

Now, I didn’t say it was easy, I purposely planned to do my phase 1 of #75hard in mid January because I know the discipline and consistency it takes. Now truthfully Phase 1 makes 75 hard look like child’s play! However, I am so grateful To be focusing on things in my control to make my life and world around me better! Also at the end of every day I feel so fulfilled and confident!
What do I do you ask?
*Stick to a diet ( I do macros and a slight calorie deficit)
*No sugar or alcohol
*Read 10 pages of a personal development book a day
*1 45 min workout ( I do heavy weights @flight)
*1 45 min workout outside in the elements
*drink 1 gallon of water
*take a progress photo
*do 10 minutes of visualization
*take a 5 min cold shower ( my cats favorite time of day because no you cannot come in the shower with me😉)
*3 daily tasks of my choice
1- 20 likes 5 comments & 1 Dm ( because I guess your supposed to me social on social media 😉) something I was too shy about!
2- Be a day maker- I let God put someone on my heart and I do something to be a blessing for them!
3- End of day reflections- I reflect all my blessings for the day and at least 1 thing i learned or could do better to be a little better tomorrow than I was today!

Yes it’s cold, it take a lot of time, meticulous planning, and it exhausting but so worth it!!!!! One thing I learned is no one is coming to save me, if I want to live into the 10.0 version of myself God made me to be, I’m going to have to do hard, uncomfortable, scary things!

I’m not writing this to brag I’m writing this to encourage you!! Whatever “it” is for you… what area of your life would you like to be better? Your relationships? Finances? Strengthened Faith? Your health? Then list to 5-8 tasks a day that will move the need forward of small consistent actionable steps that will move the needle forward! No one can make your life better but YOU! This morning, I had to choose sleep 😴
and I don’t regret it. Yesterday was so busy (holiday season approaching in my studio!) so instead of pushing through exhaustion, I listened to my body.
